Job Summary:

 

The Social Media Manager role will require you to strategize, write and publish content on various channels that drives customer engagement, brand loyalty and advocacy. You will be responsible for managing brand mentions, appropriately responding and reacting to relevant industry chatter and building a community of engaged audiences across different channels.

 

You have a passion for brand story-telling and always on the hunt for what’s new and trending. You will also monitor and report on the performance of the various social media channels towards brand engagement, traffic volume and also lead generation.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute social media strategies that ladder up to overall brand strategy.
  • Create, schedule and monitor social media posts.
  • Identify and engage with influencers to help elevate our brand and amplify points of view.
  • Monitor brand mentions and appropriate respond and engage.
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules.
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
  • Identify trends, real-time search and news media activity, popular social media topics, market opportunities, or competitor performance.
  • Track, measure and analyze the performance of social channels, content and campaigns; providing timely communication of weekly/monthly channel metrics, post-campaign results, social media trends and competitor activity.


Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Communications/Marketing/Media or practical work experience.
  • Strong passion for creative writing, social media and online marketing.
  • 2-5 years online marketing experience managing a blog and social media accounts.
  • Proven track record of successful social media implementation, content outreach and building relationships online.
  • Knowledge of social media monitoring and analytical tools.
  • Ability to uniquely communicate to varying customer/prospect personas.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your daily tasks.
  • Familiarity with design tools like Adobe Photoshop and Canva are a plus.
