The Ziff Media Group product development team is looking for a seasoned Product Manager to lead Mashable.com on a path to continued growth and innovation. You’ll work alongside some of the most creative and inventive minds in the industry, with dynamic tech and design teams ready to build your products with near-flawless execution. The role is ideally suited to a nimble thinker with a high metabolism: You should arrive on Day One ready to help launch a multivariate test right before attending a page-speed performance audit — which will probably run a little long, if we’re being honest, so you might be late to that random editorial brainstorm someone put on your calendar at the last minute. Which is to say: At Mashable you need to be game for anything. A sense of humor doesn’t hurt, either.

You, our dream candidate, are a self-starter who’s obsessed with creating experiences that keep our audience engaged and coming back for more. You won’t go it alone: Stakeholders in Social Marketing, Audience Development, Personalization and Subscription Acquisition will be right there with you. Cross-team collaboration skills are a must. Responsibilities

  • Manage the roadmap for Mashable to develop engaging and scalable experiences

  • Solve complex problems with a cross-functional team of engineers and designers 

  • Lead and align across our stakeholders, including operations, marketing, audience growth, and sales partners to drive a shared vision

  • Hypothesize, test, and optimize the customer experience lifecycle from acquisition through re-engagement 

  • Maintain effective and thorough communication throughout development with both the project team and stakeholders to maintain product and strategy alignment

  • Clearly articulate and communicate the vision, roadmap and key decisions to all levels and departments of our division, offering insight into what is being worked on

  • Develop an understanding of users by contributing to research, data analysis, customer interviews, and usability testing

Qualifications

  • 4 years of related work experience in revenue/advertising focused Product Management

  • Strong UX/UI background

  • Experience working closely with stakeholders, designers and developers

  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Intellectual curiosity, passion for learning technology

  • The ability to dive right into a big project and manage it from start to finish.

  • Willingness to get your hands dirty; egos need not apply

  • CMS and/or affiliate revenue experience a plus
