Everyday Health Consumer is looking for a Paid Search & Social Director, Acquisition Strategy to oversee the activation, implementation and optimization of our paid media efforts.  Our mission at Everyday Health is to inspire and enable wellness each and every day. The ideal Director has a proven track record of successfully managing Paid Search and Social Media campaigns for health brands, and a deep understanding of the policies and regulations within the pharmaceutical advertisement industry. You should be detailed oriented, comfortable explaining results of the campaigns and able to proactively optimize and problem solve without jeopardizing performance. 

Key Responsibilities:

The Director, Acquisition Strategy will evaluate, manage and optimize various traffic sources through a proprietary Ad Tech Platform including Facebook, Instagram, Google and other sources. You will be responsible for the operational and strategic setup of each traffic source, including identifying audiences, tracking KPI’s, and budget allocation. You will work closely with the analytics team to optimize online advertisements viewed by millions of internet users each day.  

The Director, Acquisition Strategy will understand our digital audience, what drives users to engage and take action with our content and offers, and how we can provide them with the tools and resources they will find most beneficial.  The role requires an analytical and creative mind to perform the analyses, interpret them and implement optimization tactics.. It is expected that this individual will assume increasing responsibilities over time, driving strategy and making decisions based upon the knowledge base they build by analyzing program effectiveness.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Economics, Digital Marketing or Advertising)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in health or other regulated industries. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency across both Paid Social and Paid Search. 
    • Strong understanding of social/paid search media best practices with an interest to research and gain knowledge of emerging industry changes/trends/polices/technologies. 
  • Experience Implementing and managing campaigns for multiple audiences on: Adwords, Facebook Business Manager, Twitter Ads, etc
  • In depth understanding of PPC (Pay-Per-Click) campaign management and optimization process. 
  • Understanding of forecasting, budgeting and pacing, campaign creation and optimization strategies. 
  • Highly organized, mindful of deadlines and able to work under limited supervision. 
  • Understanding of FDA and FTC regulations guiding Paid Search and Social media efforts for the health industry. 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable with project and budget management
  • Strong data analytics and critical skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented work style
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience working with visualization platforms (Datorama, DOMO, Tableau)
