IGN Programmatic Operations Manager will be primarily responsible for executing, monitoring, and reporting programmatic revenue and campaigns, including Private Marketplace/Programmatic Guaranteed Campaigns. This includes working with programmatic technology vendors, building account relationships, as well as working internally to promote and grow revenue.

 

The Programmatic Operations Manager will also work cross-departmentally to develop and improve processes and systems to support this role. This role will work with Revenue Operations Management and Yield Teams to identify process improvements and automation for the purpose of minimizing manual process.

 

 

Account/Campaign Management

       Work in tandem with the US/CA sales team to consult and support programmatic growth with their clients/agency partners.

       Assist in the creation of data/programmatic plans and recommendations to agencies and brands that are looking to advertise on our properties.

       Serve as the liaison between Ziff Davis/IGN and advertisers in responding to their inquiries including RFIs/RFPs and data requests.

       Strategically engage with and grow relationships with agency planning, strategy and activation teams.

       Independently manage pre-sale Programmatic Guaranteed/Private Marketplace Deal set up, mid-campaign optimizations and post sales wrap ups, providing feedback to our sales team and buyers.

       Work with partners and buyers to resolve issues related to Programmatic Guaranteed/Private Marketplace Deals, with the ability to determine the root cause of the issue and recommend meaningful next steps.

       Monitor deal health and create ad hoc reports during campaigns to grow partnerships, maximize revenue and retain buyers.

       Identify client growth opportunities and upsell clients on new product offerings, ad formats and transaction types.

       Work with revenue operations and yield management to ensure delivery of programmatic campaigns.

 

Training

       Train internal sales team on programmatic capabilities/best practices.

       Collaborate with the marketing team to build sell sheets, advertiser snapshots, case studies and other collateral.

       Train team members and others on programmatic buying best practices.

       Stay informed of digital industry developments and trends.

 

Qualifications

What will get you in the door?

       1+ years working in a Programmatic-focused role, preferably in Advertising or Revenue Operations

       Working knowledge of online ad serving and contract management technologies (Google Ad Manager, Sizmek, Google Analytics, and Salesforce preferred) and online advertising sales in general. Experience with Programmatic technologies is preferred. (SSP/DSP)

       General proficiency in Microsoft Office required, especially Excel

       Ability to work with data science teams to build reports and / or dashboards; ability to work independently on building reports

       Strong project management skills with the proven ability to work independently, take full ownership of projects, and manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines

       Ability to break down process, escalate issues and concerns, and work with internal teams to specify tools automation and process improvement

       Exceptional written and oral communication and organizational skills; self-motivated with laser-sharp attention to detail

       A great attitude and genuine excitement about working in digital advertising operations

       Being inquisitive, innovative, and interested in how things work
