Ziff Davis, a subsidiary of J2 Global, Inc., is looking for a Manager, Financial Planning & Reporting to support the finance operations of its Ziff Davis division. This role will be the reporting backbone for the Ziff Davis division as it continues its rapid organic growth, investment in new business, and growth through acquisitions. Responsibilities include report writing, customization, and planning analysis to support the budgeting, forecasting, M&A, and monthly close activities of the division. The self-driven Manager will take a front seat approach to identifying the reporting needs of the division and ensure the accuracy of the financial management reports. This position offers a unique opportunity to sit across a portfolio of five distinct businesses, in three core verticals, and offers unparalleled access to the general managers and senior management team.

  • Be responsible for all regular and ad hoc financial management reporting used across the Ziff Davis division and ensure the accuracy, consistency and integrity of the reports
  • Establish and maintain a directory of management reports
  • Train necessary end users on how to run and use relevant ad hoc management reports
  • Partner with various FP&A and finance teams to determine the core levers of our businesses and ensure all management reporting is current, accurate and timely


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Math or Computer Science.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations, CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience finance, systems or financial planning
  • Analytical approaches to problem-solving, with comfort in data manipulation, as well media and financial data sets. 
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite, Adaptive, and Oracle PBCS preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial drive, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines
