Content Strategist - What to Expect
Description
What to Expect is seeking a Content Strategist to work on commerce content, branded content and other revenue- and audience-driving editorial initiatives. The candidate is a detail-oriented, enterprising digital media editor with expert editing, packaging, promotion, and curation skills. This position will report to the Managing Editor (with a dotted line to the Editorial Director and Director of Branded Content) and has the potential to be remote.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of What to Expect’s best-of product guides, using SEO and affiliate revenue data to strategically expand into new categories.
- Contribute to the coverage of major shopping holidays, such as Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday.
- Pitch, write, assign, and edit content to support multiple advertiser campaigns.
- Brainstorm and act on novel ways to drive revenue, registrations and other KPIs via content
Skills & Experience:
- Affiliate e-commerce strategy and best practices
- SEO best practices, especially as they relate to commerce
- Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely rollout of new content
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a digital media editor, including experience with health and wellness content and e-commerce
