Associate Producer, News Programming (Contract)


IGN is looking for a talented associate producer focused on news programming with a love of video games, movies, and TV. In this role you’ll edit and produce IGN news videos including IGN Now, IGN The Fix: Entertainment, IGN The Fix: Games, and text-driven (rather than hosted) news videos.

IGN’s team is made up of all kinds of people that share a common love of games, TV, movies, comics, tech, and all things geeky. We strongly encourage people of every race, gender, sexual orientation, and background to apply.

  • Experience and comfort with Adobe Premiere and Creative Suite
  • Passion for IGN and/or video games, TV shows and movies
  • Willingness to learn new production / post production tech and software


Responsibilities include:

  • Producing and editing IGN’s various news video These include IGN Now, The Fix: Games, The Fix: Entertainment, and more. Example: ( )
  • Working with the team to prioritize daily news stories for video coverage, with a hand in scripting, headlining, and creation of enticing thumbnails that maintain IGN’s editorial
  • Ensuring timely delivery of all projects and
  • Gathering and vetting properly sourced video assets for B roll of news related
  • Tracking export and delivery of multiple iterations and deliverables for com, YouTube, social platforms, and wherever IGN content lives.
  • Working proactively and collaboratively to overcome roadblocks and actively engage stakeholders to ensure proper delivery both into production and through
  • Maintaining high quality standards across all content you and your team are responsible
  • Building positive working relationships across all IGN content creators, and all cross functional

It would be a 1-UP if you have:

  • Photoshop experience
  • Script writing experience
  • Directing experience
  • Experience using OBS / Vmix
  • Excellent audio editing skills
  • After Effects or motion graphics experience
  • Strong understanding of video game and entertainment
