Our team is looking for a driven Head of Technical Program Management who demonstrates excellent leadership, proficient planning and organizational development skills, sound judgment and business decision-making, a flexible and positive attitude, and excellent problem solving abilities. This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer.


The Technical Project Management Office facilitates communication, organization, and flow of the cloud fax and document management application development process. We resolve difficult problems and overcome challenges of scale as our organization grows.

You should be a leader with experience in building and mentoring a team of seasoned Technical Project and Program Managers while knowing how to navigate and positively influence an organization cross-functionally at the highest management levels.


  • Coach Technical Project and Program Managers in developing a communications strategy to ensure teams are sharing progress, managing dependencies, and identifying and mitigating risks.

  • Be involved in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of product portfolio and program management processes.

  • Lead resource planning, balancing, and making adjustments across projects and programs within the product portfolio. Identify resource constraints or needs that may impact these programs from outside the portfolio area.

  • Provide executives with portfolio-level transparency into status, dependencies, issues, and risks across projects and programs.

  • Be able to coach Technical Project and Program Managers in the pragmatic application of various software development methodologies – with a focus on Agile – depending on the needs of each team.

  • Be the champion for continuous improvement of cross-functional ways of working for product/software development.

  • Work cross-functionally to develop outstanding relationships with peer groups and J2 Global  leadership.

  • Evaluate process health and performance; identify trends and areas for improvement and opportunities to optimize or establish best practices.

  • Own assigned product feature delivery from start to finish.

  • Partner with Product, Documentation, Engineering, Operations, and QA leads to ensure that projects are developed and delivered to production as efficiently as possible.

  • Facilitate and drive timely completion of project deliverables.

  • Communicate scope or milestone changes early and clearly to stakeholders to ensure buy-in throughout the organization.

  • Foster a collaborative environment reinforcing transparency, quality, and continuous learning.

  • Work interactively with stakeholders and team members to identify areas of improvement for the teams and/or their products.

  • Provide executive project reporting regarding project status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.

  • Display solid fiscal responsibility by managing and adhering to budgets and always seeking out operating efficiencies and economies.

  • Model an inclusive, roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic by showing a willingness to participate in daily workloads when needed to make deadlines.


  • Minimum of 15 years of experience with technical project and program management of software development teams, including both web applications and back-end server solutions.

  • Solid grasp of software development planning concepts, including scheduling, risk mitigation, and product rollouts.

  • Prior professional experience as leader/manager in the software development lifecycle required.

  • Strong understanding of business-to-technical requirement translation.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead functional, technical, and strategic discussions to drive successful outcomes.

  • Excellent written and communication skills.

  • Strong action orientation.

  • Experience with both Agile and traditional (waterfall, spiral, etc.) development practices.

  • Knowledge of tracking and reporting tools, JIRA preferred. Affinity with Confluence.
