The Marketing Analyst is a member of the J2 Global Cloud Services division within the Fax business unit as a member of the SOHO Marketing team.  As part of the fast-growing Marketing team at j2 Global, the ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively independently or cross functionally while enthusiastically contributing to our fast-moving and evolving business.  The Marketing Analyst will need to be proactive and passionate about utilizing data and assessing key business indicators to identify and produce a consistent schedule of analyses and analytical insights that will help continuously inform and improve our Marketing efforts. This person will maintain and create dashboards including current ETLs and automated reporting systems using Python and Linux servers.  He/she will also set up and improve upon existing ETLs and data flows as needed and support the marketing team and other department requests for various reports or metrics.  In addition, the right candidate will possess strong business acumen and a thorough knowledge of business concepts and financial and business metrics. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a dynamic personality strong enough to present detailed analytical findings and recommendations to all levels of the business, marketing and management teams.

Job Duties:
Identify and produce data-driven, analytical insights with actionable recommendations to continuously improve our marketing plans.
Establish a consistent schedule of analytically-driven deliverables and proactively present findings and actionable plans on a consistent basis to all levels of the marketing team.
Manage, automate and continuously improve dashboards and ongoing reporting of key performance indicators across multiple product lines and geographies.
Passionately and enthusiastically pursue ways to improve overall business performance by analyzing and listening to the data as the foundation for decision-making and priority of action.

Job Requirements and Experience:

5+ years’ experience in reporting, data science and/or data analytics.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mathematics or Finance preferred.

Experience analyzing large sets of data and the ability to proactively identify issues, generate analytical insights and present action-oriented recommendations.

Strong knowledge of Python and the pandas package is necessary.

Experience with Windows and Linux command line.
Must have superior Excel skills and have fluency in spreadsheet creation and manipulation.
Familiarity with data visualization software like DOMO or Tableau.

Must be a highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to build rapport with other team members and cross-functional departments.
Must possess superior organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to function successfully in an environment with multiple and shifting priorities.
Must be intellectually curious and passionate about utilizing data to illuminate opportunities and identify issues.
