The Ad Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of digital ad placements across multiple channels (Native, Display, Email). This individual will be leading a team of three to five Ad Operations Coordinators and Associates, establishing strong communication processes with Sales, Media Planners, Account Managers, Product, and CRM Marketing teams to drive sell-through, maximizing available inventory, and ensure seamless campaign execution while providing high-level of support to agencies/clients. The ideal candidate will be a subject-matter expert with hands-on experience in DFP, Operative, Salesforce and other proprietary tools responsible for trafficking, launching, optimizing reporting across all digital ad placements. Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the sales, media planners, account managers to deliver native, display and email ad campaigns
  • Own the day-to-day processes and execution of all digital ad placements; provide exceptional client service to internal and external partners
  • Manage the scheduling, building, QA, launch of all digital ad placements leveraging both proprietary and 3rd-party ad servers
  • Monitor campaigns throughout lifecycle to ensure SLAs deadlines and full delivery needs will be met by campaign end dates
  • Maximize ad inventory, track sell-through rates, monitor KPIs and communicate availability and performance expectations with key stakeholders
  • Provide internal and external clients with detailed campaign analysis, including performance summary, optimization recommendations to identify trends and areas of opportunity
  • Proactively investigate issues with ad delivery, assets, 3rd-party tags with internal and external parties and provide resolutions to these issues
  • Establish best practices and policies for all aspects of campaign execution, communication and QA processes to minimize delivery errors
  • Identify workflow improvement opportunities to reduce touch points and inefficiencies
  • Become the internal subject matter expert for display ad trafficking and ad server management, working close with Product and Sales teams
  • Implement seasonal planning and ad performance reviews to identify new ad opportunities and drive continuous improvements
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching and set priorities for junior team members
  • Stay abreast of Ad Ops industry trends and best practices

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3+ years of Ad Ops experience and at least 1 year experience building and leading a team
  • Hands-on experience with DFP, DCM, Sizmek or other 3rd-party ad servers preferred
  • Knowledge of 3rd party reporting and familiarity with various 3rd-party dashboards and UIs
  • Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Commitment to continuous process improvement and initiatives 
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills, and an embedded drive for results
  • Strong operator that loves creating processes, identifying efficiencies, investigating and resolving issues

  • Exceptional reporting & analytical skills with ability to present data in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Google Sheets as well as basic knowledge of HTML, Javascript and CSS
  • Knowledge of Operative, Salesforce, JIRA, Tableau and other tools are preferred
