SRFax is an Internet Fax Service Provider that has been in business for over 15 years and is seeking a representative for the position of Customer Care - Porting and Support to work in our Nanaimo, BC office. This is a permanent, full-time position.

We are looking for a self-driven, technically-minded candidate with excellent communication and organizational skills. Attention to details is a must in order to assist with inventory management and provide exceptional customer support.

The main focus of this job will be in dealing with moving numbers from other providers to our service: it is heavy in data entry and accuracy is vital. This position will deal with customers directly in regards to moving numbers, as well as assist other Customer Care Agents, depending on volume.

This position will be Monday-Friday, 9-5, with an on-call rotation every six weeks, approximately. If you would like to be part of our team and you can work independently then we want to hear from you!


  • Facilitate clients porting their fax numbers into our service
  • Maintain our pool of numbers and provision new numbers as required
  • Track and log all customer inquiries in regards to moving fax numbers
  • Answer phone and email inquiries about our services
  • Provide exceptional customer support over the phone and via email
  • Process financial transactions
  • After hours support role, weekly rotation.


  • High School Diploma
  • Some Post Secondary preferred


  • Excellent communication skills (English), both written and verbal
  • Evaluates situations effectively and pays attention to detail
  • Effective time management, must be able to multi-task
  • Fundamental computer skills
  • Solid understanding of the use of Internet, email and office programs
  • Experience in data entry is beneficial
  • Service oriented attitude
  • Great listening skills
  • Shows empathy under all circumstances
  • Motivated self-starter looking to grow with the company
  • Telecommunications experience beneficial but not required
  • Previous Customer Service experience preferred
