Everyday Health Group is seeking a dynamic Senior Director, Business Development to join our team. In this role, you will lead the origination and nurturing of key audience- and revenue-driving partnerships that broaden the reach of Everyday Health Group properties/businesses.  Further, you will identify strategic M&A prospects working in conjunction with the Corporate Development team to execute the transactions and working with operating management to integrate new businesses. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Identify and drive strategic business development opportunities with the primary goals of diversifying revenue and audience for Everyday Health Group properties/businesses 
  • Develop and manage the deal pipeline for strategic partnership/investment/M&A opportunities 
  • Research and maintain a deep understanding of the digital health media and services market landscape, including potential partners and acquisition targets 
  • Lead and perform deal execution activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation analysis 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation, including proactively communicating with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Oversee key partnerships post-close, often as a key point of contact 
  • Drive new business initiatives and partnerships that result in tangible growth
  • Be a strategic thought-partner to the Everyday Health Group leadership team

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • 5+ years of health & wellness digital media and/or healthcare industry experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in a BD or partnerships, consulting, and/or deal-making role 
  • A passion and curiosity for the digital health and media landscapes, and a keen ability to “filter the noise” and hone in on opportunities that will drive real growth 
  • The ability to lead teams comprised of both internal and external constituents often under tight timeframes 
  • A solid track record of negotiating and executing agreements with a broad range of partners with an ability to lead, structure and negotiate deal terms 
  • A clear and effective communication style 
  • Partner-facing experience 
  • The ability to prioritize projects and stay focused amidst the constantly evolving digital media and healthcare landscapes 
  • The ability to distill big picture, strategic thinking while not losing track of critical details • A self-starting personality that is driven by measurable results and action 
  • An energetic and motivating presence, with the desire to educate and provide ongoing insight and ideas to the various teams involved in executing on key partnerships 
  • A Collaborative work style 
  • Experience in financial modeling and PowerPoint 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or MBA (preferred) 
  • Location: Flexible
