Program Manager - IGN

Sales San Francisco, California Culver City, California

Position at IGN

Program Managers are the master organizers and communicators of IGN.  They ensure that all the components of a campaign (content alignment, content marketing, social media, native advertising, ad products and more) publish on time and according to spec.  They form the connective tissue between IGN departments as they facilitate communication, approvals and execution of first-to-market, never been done, big ideas.

What does that mean exactly?

  • You are responsible for supporting the Consumer, Entertainment and Games Sales Teams with campaign execution and delivery for advertising opportunities across IGN Entertainment.
  • You will review internal project scope documents to understand cross-department responsibilities to assign milestones across teams.
  • You use the project tracking systems, content management system (CMS), and order entry systems to assist in the management and delivery of campaigns.
  • You are familiar with sponsorship packaging and ad targeting for display and pre-roll ad products.
  • You are familiar with brand and product integrations for branded content.
  • You will update project campaign outlines that clearly and succinctly explain revisions, milestones, and status: custom integrations, flight, impressions, views, budget allocations, and production timelines.
  • You will ensure all pitched ad campaigns match pre-sales scope as approved by internal partners including Branded Entertainment, Editorial, Video, Social, Product, Engineering, Sales Design, and Ad Ops.

What will get you in the door?

  • You've worked in digital advertising, integrated marketing, sales development or marketing communications.  You understand the role that sales support plays in interacting with Sales, ad agencies and clients.
  • You have worked in producing and delivering programs that include display ads, branded video, native content, social content, and more.
  • You have managed projects across multiple departments with multiple deliverables. This includes creating project or production timelines.
  • You are familiar with scoping and pricing custom video. You understand the difference between reach and engagement, views and impressions, ROI and KPI.
  • You are a critical thinker who anticipates challenges and obstacles to delivering a project.
  • You have excellent communication skills.  You understand how to enforce workflow rules without being overly aggressive.
  • You are a driven, passionate self-starter who is able to execute and deliver high caliber work with minimal supervision.
  • You play well with others and are a fan culture enthusiast.
