The Manager, Education & Research Strategy is a catalyst for identifying, developing, and advancing client and business relationships to support PRIME’s growth strategy. In this role, he/she will create opportunities for new and expanded business by sharing the PRIME value story with grant and proposal supporters, contract officers, and other funders of health care education and research-informed continuing education. He/she will monitor recent developments in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and health care industries and translate these developments into potential grant and proposal opportunities. The Manager, Education & Research Strategy reports to the Vice President, Education & Research Strategy, and works closely with PRIME Senior Leadership and the Education & Research Strategy team to advance the PRIME strategy based upon opportunities that arise, including development of proposal concepts and effective collaboration with PRIME staff throughout proposal development, submission, review and notification processes. He/she is a PRIME diplomat, embodying quality and professionalism as critical business attributes reflective of PRIME, and articulately communicates PRIME’s multiple success factors to effectively communicate a value story.


The Manager, Education & Research Strategy will attend assigned industry functions, meetings, and conferences and communicate via telephone, electronically and in-person to create consistent opportunities for meaningful and actionable conversations with supporters and funders. He/she will develop electronic and social media communications, press releases, and marketing materials to convey PRIME’s assets and accomplishments in order to maintain a consistent communications footprint.

Position Duties:

  • Identify, develop and enhance new and existing client and business relationships that lead to new grant and proposal opportunities
  • Assist the Education & Research Strategy team with regular communications to supporters on CE activities, publications, presentations, and press releases
  • Work with internal staff teams to effectively translate, communicate, and strategize on proposal concepts
  • Maintain up-to-date customer information within tracking tools
  • Maintain ongoing compliant dialogue with supporters and industry stakeholders to appreciate goals regarding education and research-informed continuing education
  • Identify timely opportunities for marketing and develop electronic and print communications that convey the PRIME value story to learners, health systems, supporters, and other stakeholders
  • Provide timely, accurate, and effective project updates via phone, webinar and electronically with supporters and funders
  • Create opportunities to schedule virtual and onsite customer meetings and meetings associated with industry conferences
  • Assist with developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of targeted potential supporters and funders to continuously create opportunities
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential partners, including health systems, societies and other stakeholders to grow the PRIME network


 Candidate Requirements:

  • BSc/BA in Business Administration or Marketing (MBA preferred) or in a clinical, natural, or social sciences field
  • Minimum of 3 years of CE industry experience
  • Prior experience in business development in CE, health-related, or pharmaceutical industry with an ability to build relationships, develop rapport and identify opportunities
  • Understanding of the health care industry; therapy development, approval and effectiveness studies and processes, healthcare policy; and continuing education and adult and team learning theory
  • Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent command of the English language (verbal and writing) with high articulation and communication skills
  • Excellent writing and reporting skills, with ability to synthesize and communicate complex information in a concise and easy to understand manner
  • Ability to travel nationwide and internationally, when required
