Account Executive - Ziff Media Group

Ziff Media Group is looking for an experienced sales executive to oversee sales within the New York City territory.

This candidate will have a consultative sales approach selling branded content, video, display, social, and experiential to new and existing clients, while increasing the reputation and visibility of the Ziff Media Group portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong client and agency relationships within key accounts by bringing innovative new ideas and solutions to market

  • Proactively pitch new business by prospecting clients within the territory footprint

  • Work closely with the sales leadership to develop regular revenue forecasts, strategy and regular reporting of performance

  • Create and execute longer term collaborations and partnerships with relevant brands

  • Fully understand the editorial/social proposition of Mashable, PCMag, and Ziff Media Group brands and use this to shape and develop the commercial offering

  • Mentor dedicated sales planner and account coordinators

  • Participate in office culture and events to ensure strong internal working relationships and team building

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and headwinds to act as a consultant for your book of business

  • Make relevant recommendations on product based on market feedback and advertising opportunities


  • Account management and relationship building skills to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business to maximize ongoing revenues

  • Well-developed communication skills with the ability to motivate and drive creativity amongst internal teams

  • Entrepreneurial attitude towards business

  • Understanding of KPI setting and expectations for campaigns

  • Experience in selling digital advertising

  • CRM database proficient – Salesforce preferred

  • University Degree/Further Education in a related subject



Specific Experience:

  • 3-5 Years of relevant sales experience required

  • 1+ years digital sales experience

  • Excellent understanding of the media marketplace

  • Presentation, communication sales & negotiation skills

  • Client management experience
