Ziff Media Group is looking for a talented Creative Video Strategist to join its custom studio. Brand X is an end-to-end creative studio that produces custom experiences for leading brands in tech, lifestyle, and entertainment. We are a small but mighty team of writers, strategists, video producers, designers and innovators. We create custom experiences on Mashable, PCMag, and other properties within the Ziff Media portfolio.  

Brand X is looking for a passionate and driven Creative Video Strategist with client and sales support experience. The Creative Video Strategist will be in a client-facing role working closely with sales and integrated marketing teams to conceptualize and pitch branded content campaigns as well as execute sold programs. This person will be involved in branded campaigns from the pre-sales ideation process, including brainstorms and developing concepts, all the way through post-sale executions and measuring performance.

What you’ll do:

  • Function as the team expert and production lead on video campaigns
  • Ideate creative and compelling branded content solutions in response to RFPs and proactive campaigns
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams on every campaign, aligning strategy and tactics to achieve a client’s KPIs in a uniquely Ziff way
  • Write snappy and succinct concept pitches to be included in pitch decks
  • Work closely with Integrated Marketing team in developing pitch decks for partnerships
  • Create editorial insights to support branded content ideas
  • Produce and project manage sold concepts in post-sale campaigns
  • Grow Brand X’s reputation as an award-winning custom content studio
  • Own content campaigns from pre-sale ideation through to post-sale execution
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years editorial, branded content, and creative and/or media agency experience
  • Experience producing videos
  • Proactive problem-solver
  • Experience working with brands and creating branded programs, especially multimedia and creative technology initiatives
  • Experience in a client-facing role
  • A creative approach to all work
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with quick deadlines
  • A hard worker with the commitment to perform tasks on deadline
  • Attention to detail and a high level of organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of the difference between an idea and a tactic 
  • Team player who works well under tight deadlines in a collaborative environment
  • Brainstorming dynamo: always bringing big ideas to the table, and building off of others’ ideas in a collaborative style
  • Strong familiarity with social media tools like Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of tech, culture, entertainment, business and social media trends and ability to write across them
