Job Summary:

 

This role is for you if you are a balance of analytical and creative. You have extensive experience in developing GTM strategies, creating product adoption tactics, gathering competitive intelligence and other product marketing functions as outlined in “responsibilities” for SAAS B2B/B2C businesses.

 

You thrive on the combination of understanding competitive landscape, assessing development roadmaps, evaluating pricing models, collaborating with product management and creating sticky value propositions for both software and services solutions.

 

You are a confident front of room presenter and can effectively synthesize information into what matters most to your audience. You’re also comfortable working at the pace and with the ambiguity that comes with a fast paced, highly competitive market. Ultimately, you’re a driven, tenacious, self-starter that is able to deliver high quality marketing and sales enablement material quickly and efficiently.

 

Responsibilities

  • Quickly become the resident expert on buyer personas for multiple j2 Martech products. Getting in touch directly with customers, combing through customer data and creating personas, which feed into our messaging and marketing campaigns.
  • GTM: Build and execute the GTM strategy, lead product launches, set competitive positioning, manage “day-to-day” marketing support for your respective product domains; in a nutshell, “own” or “champion” your product domains in collaboration with the Product Management team.
  • Sales Enablement: Communicate the value proposition of your product including how they compare to competitive offerings, to the sales and field teams and develop the sales tools that support the selling process, including sales training and product demos.
  • Insights & Research: Strive to continuously deliver industry, market and product insights to support product roadmap and positioning, campaign development and other relevant areas, and company growth.
  • Translate marketing insights into product features and sell the requirements to development, sales and product teams.
  • Identify different use cases of our evolving product capabilities, craft messaging articulating these use cases for customers, prospective customers, and internal teams.
  • Interact with sales, customer success and customers on a regular basis to continuously vet messaging and positioning and refine as needed.
  • Provide ideas/input back to Product Management to help continuously improve product and keep the company informed about customer feedback and data gathered in the field.
  • May include some travel.

 

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree and/or BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. Technology diploma or degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years professional experience in Marketing/Product Management, ideally 3-5 years in Product Marketing.
  • Prior experience in B2B marketing and SaaS preferred.
  • Creative problem solver with a track record of navigating ambiguity to get to practical solutions
  • Extremely self-motivated - can take a concept or idea and run with it
  • Very strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent people, management and cross-functional leadership skills to interact with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering to schedule and to results.
  • Ability to thrive in the fast-paced and ever-changing environment a must.
