Join a growing Audience team overseeing the end-to-end planning and execution of all things primary research. Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the organization including Sales/Branded Content/Marketing, Merchandising, Editorial, Commerce and Product/Engineering teams to advance the audience insights and qualitative research disciplines.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop overarching sales and marketing research strategy in partnership with sales leadership with custom research ideas and case studies across brands and platforms
  • Effectively manage projects from conceptualization through to survey design and delivery using the findings to inform business decisions 
  • Find new ways to tell stories/narratives around our audience with innovative research initiatives that create opportunities to differentiate our content and consumers in the marketplace
  • Deliver thought leadership strategy pieces and POVs on broader landscape/industry trends that help to drive business conversations forward
  • Work closely with the quantitative analytics leads to integrate qualitative research findings with usage and behavioral data
  • Monitor, interpret and distribute findings across various sources (syndicated, social listening platforms, first party research, etc.) to provide context on industry and consumer trends
  • Package and distill audience insights in an engaging and thoughtful way that tells a story with the data coupled with strong data visualizations
  • Translate findings into actionable tactics, strategies and recommendations that can be presented to senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Leverage panel management software to build out proprietary panel(s) of respondents for market research studies
  • Manage projects with external vendors (Kantar, Nielsen) to measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns and brand lift
  • Manage and mentor one direct report


  • 7+ years’ experience in primary research with expertise on both the quantitative and qualitative side
  • Proficiency in survey design, building & managing online panels, focus group moderation, usability testing, conducting extensive interviews and analyzing research findings
  • Ability to convey recaps and plans to senior stakeholders
  • Experienced presenter with exceptional written communication skills, especially in story-telling
  • Excellent time-management, organizational and project management skills
  • Expertise in survey programming, G-Suite products (Google Docs, Sheets and Slides), and advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, filters, vlookups, etc.)
