Director, Commerce Content - What to Expect
Description
Everyday Health Group’s Pregnancy & Parenting division seeks an experienced editorial leader to oversee commerce content strategy for What to Expect and BabyCenter. Reporting to the VP/Editorial Director, you will lead our brands’ mission to deliver content that helps pregnant people and new parents make important purchasing decisions.
Responsibilities
- Optimize and expand our brands’ libraries of buying guides and product roundups, with an eye toward how they can enhance the user’s baby registry experience
- Maintain a commerce content calendar based on SEO, seasonal needs, and shopping holidays such as Black Friday and Amazon Prime Day
- Oversee efforts to expand the brands’ coverage of trends and deals
- Work on a cross-functional team to test content template and UX improvements
- Ideate and develop new revenue-driving initiatives and content franchises
- Hire and manage freelance resources to support product-focused video production
- Manage two staff commerce editors
Qualifications
- 8+ years of editorial experience, ideally with a health or parenting focus
- Experience using affiliate dashboards such as Skimlinks, CJ, and Amazon Associates
- Proficiency in SEO content strategy and tools such as SEMRush
- Experience scaling editorial operations in a high-growth environment
