The Senior Marketing Manager is an opportunity for an ambitious marketeer to join a dynamic business with high growth ambitions.

We are seeking a high-performing, innovative, results-oriented and customer-obsessed Senior Marketing Manager to own the strategy & implementation of acquisition and retention campaigns for j2 Global®’s cloud services in the region. Reporting to the EMEA Marketing Director, this is an exciting role for the right candidate who enjoys pushing against the status quo. As a key member of the EMEA Marketing team, this position will shape & drive our B2C and B2B Voice & Fax cloud services marketing initiatives across multiple channels and geographies.

Headquartered in Los Angeles California, j2 Global® have developed a clear strategy to deepen the business in EMEA through aggressive organic and non-organic growth and as Senior Marketing Manager; you will play a crucial role helping the business achieve this.

This position is located in Santry, Dublin, Ireland.

Managing a team of three, you will lead the development, operations and execution of on-line and off-line campaigns across EMEA to drive growth.

Your key responsibilities include:   

  • Develop and manage acquisition strategy and marketing programs via on-line & off-line channels (owned, paid, earned and content marketing programs) and build a demand generation engine that generates, and nurtures leads – building a robust pipeline.
    • Create, run, and analyze demand generation campaigns through multi-channel approach to drive awareness, consideration and adoption
    • Develop data and insight strategy to build and maintain comprehensive target customer profiles and target personas
    • Develop persona targeted messaging to ensure differentiation from the competition
    • Develop a pipeline model that ensures revenue goals are achieved in each segment by driving conversion of prospective customers to active customers through funnel optimization
  • Develop and manage the implementation of CRM Marketing programs, built around clearly defined segment personas, triggers and journeys
    • Plan and implement multi-channel communication journeys to onboard, engage, and retain leads / existing customers. Oversee the overall content and touchpoint strategy
    • Configure, test and launch multi-touch campaigns with Marketo, including emails, landing pages, reporting and list segmentation
    • Own the direct to customer communications roadmap, including channel strategy, content scheduling, frequency rules and defining and development of marketing automation improvements
    • Proactively maintain the data hygiene and integrity of our CRM data including establishing rules and operational routines to regularly cleanse and augment the data
  • Use insights from continual testing, customer data, and industry best practices to optimise marketing communications to achieve business goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Set clear performance goals to achieve quarterly and annual goals through online and offline marketing initiatives.
  • Manage third party agencies to support overall marketing efforts and content creation. Work with creative teams, internal and external, on asset development, deployment and testing.
  • Collaborate with a broad range of teams, including international marketing, product, Customer Care, Sales, operations, and creative teams.

  • You have a proven track record of demand generation and lead management in a B2C/B2B/SaaS company
  • You successfully translate marketing plans into actionable projects and lead the creative development process.

  • experienced in managing and tracking budgets, media planning, execution and analysis;
  • expert at using data analytics to guide marketing decisions, and identify/document business cases for new opportunities;
  • comfortable working in an environment of experimentation, innovation, collaboration
  • flexible and can adapt and deal with evolving priorities and are comfortable operating in a high-energy, rapidly evolving and growing global business                                                                              
Key requirements:
  • Candidates must be experienced marketers with a proven track record of success. Interested candidates should possess:
  • 6+ years’ experience in marketing with a core focus on all aspect of the Digital marketing activity.
  • Minimum of 3+ years working on successful acquisition and retention campaigns for ecommerce/ SaaS business.
  • Expert numeracy skills. Comfortable with large volumes of data - able to spot insight and direct action quickly.
  • Demonstrated success in hiring, mentoring, coaching and retaining a high-performing results driven team
  • Experience managing agency relationships and performance.
  • Language skills (French, German and Spanish) and experience managing pan-European marketing initiatives is a plus.
