Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, Payments & Real Time Rating to lead our billing/payment team and help deliver the best (internal and external) customer experience for our growing portfolio of e-commerce and B2B services.  As part of a collaborative team, you will help create a transparent billing experience for our customers that spans account creation, usage rating,  payments, billing (including invoicing, taxation, billing adjustments), reporting, and the accurate recording of all financial interactions in our accounting system.

Reporting to the Head of Product Management, and part of the rapidly growing Cloud Fax team, you will be tasked with defining and supporting key aspects of our payments, services and customer experiences, including overseeing payment processing solutions, helping define strategies on payment methods, driving incremental improvements to our transactional flows, maximizing efficiencies to improve billing health while reducing costs, and last but not least adding support for new products to the portfolio.

This role functions as a day-to-day liaison between business, marketing, technology and product organizations to maximize business objectives.

The right person for this role has experience building effective payment strategies for large eCommerce platforms and usage based Enterprise models, understands the nuances of both Usage & Subscription services, and is familiar with compliance and regulatory needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a payments roadmap that is able to execute on the growth strategies and business needs
  • Discover innovative opportunities in the payment space to optimize overall auth rates, reduce chargebacks, and support customers evolving payment preferences.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with engineering, marketing, product leadership, and business teams on objectives and business requirements
  • Translate inputs and business needs into detailed product requirements documents and user stories for engineering teams to execute
  • Lead planning, development, delivery the products working cross-functionally with teams from Engineering to Sales
  • Analyze existing user experiences to identify opportunities to drive growth and improve value propositions for our users
  • Responsible for driving testing requirements for payment including any requirements or dependencies across teams
  • Collaborate with internal shared services teams across the J2 organization to help execute on the strategy and vision
  • Partner with other Product Managers to streamline payment system integrations and enhance existing business processes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cutting-edge technologies and techniques around payment processing

  • Deep technical understanding of third-party Payment solutions and compliance requirements (PII, PCI, etc.)

  • Experience building partnerships and working with engineering organizations
  • Ability to understand value of an effort and prioritize it accordingly on a roadmap

  • You're able to work on projects with distributed teams, making use of technology and process to overcome the challenges of working with remote staff

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years’ experience in Product Management with at least 3 years in payments for consumer and or enterprise billing systems for services. (Experience with Telecommunications products is helpful, but not a must)
  • Experience with PCI compliance/Audits and fraud prevention technologies for credit card processing and alternate payment methods.
