Sales Development Manager

The Sales Development Manager is responsible for supporting the Everyday Health Group Pregnancy and Parenting Sales organization to develop, package, and present strategic digital marketing solutions. You will support Sales in the proposal development process by collaborating, consulting and providing marketing support that brings to life our differentiated offerings. You will both respond to inbound RFPs and proactively craft client presentations to drive profitable sales growth and deliver client results. You will work with internal teams to forecast revenue, develop category solutions, and create sales-enablement tools, presentations, and off-the-shelf assets.

This is a full-time position based in New York reporting to the Sales Marketing Director.

 Responsibilities

  • End-to-end pitch development for strategic proposals including writing, research and creative development, as needed.
  • Frame marketing solutions and recommendations in the context of client goals, supported by a compelling insights-backed story.
  • Establish a strong understanding of our full suite of capabilities including lead-generation, advertising, CRM and branded content, and use consumer insights to support recommendations.
  • Work with internal teams, including Sales Planning, Client Success Managers, Community & Social, Design, Editorial, Product, and Research, to develop well-positioned digital marketing recommendations.
  • Support the Sales team in meetings with clients and agencies.
  • Drive revenue from both endemic and non-endemic brands by combining consumer insights, marketplace trends, and existing programs to build off-the-shelf vertical category solutions.
  • Support the Sales Team to translate and position product features and attributes into marketer benefits.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and communicate new product development needs based on client demand.
  • Be an effective internal advocate of client needs/market demand and take initiatives to lead cross functional teams to achieve sales results.

  • You have a seasoned understanding of marketing and sales development experience in the digital space.
  • You recognize global audience behaviors, business trends and cultural nuances.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven sales environment.
  • You understand the needs and goals of a broad set of marketers and categories and can position and package offerings to meet those needs.
  • You have clear and concise presentation skills, and you are willing to co-present in client meetings.
  • You are highly collaborative and a team player, who can work across a variety of internal and external teams, and you are not shy about leading the project.
  • You are a self-starter who is energetic, creative, credible, likeable and persistent.
  • You are a master of PowerPoint and Google Slides.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of four (4) years digital media experience preferably with a publisher or digital agency.
  • Strong working knowledge of digital marketing including lead-gen, mobile, display, video, email, search, social, programmatic and branded content.
  • Resourceful, driven, and able to work fast and smart without jeopardizing the quality of the final deliverable.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal), ability to interface with internal and external teams to get your message across.
