Ziff Davis Australia is looking for a passionate and driven Account Manager to join our sales team of dead-set legends. The role of Account Manager is responsible for managing their own patch of agency and direct clients to meet their individual and team revenue goals. The Account Manager can look forward to selling across IGN, the world’s largest gaming and entertainment site, and Australia’s largest technology portfolio with PCMag, Mashable, ZMG, and Speedtest. Role Summary:

To maximise advertising sales revenue for the Ziff Davis portfolio of sites from your patch of agency groups and direct clients. The role focuses on growing year on year commitment of repeat partners and hunting for new business. The role will involve developing sales strategies, creating sponsorship packages, delivering client pitches & ensuring delivery is of the highest possible standard.

Information about the position:

  • Foster valuable relationships with media agencies, trading desks & direct clients within your patch, keeping them up to date on everything involving our brands.
  • Uncover briefs and respond to them with the assistance of the Sales Coordinator and internal departments.
  • Create new non-traditional products & relationship based initiatives that generate revenue outside of standard media executions (e.g. on-ground events, media stunts, branded content, syndication, joint ventures).
  • Review monthly and quarterly revenue performance to budget and provide insight, commentary & action plans to ensure budgets are exceeded.
  • Review monthly site analytics across all platforms in order to leverage this information for client benefit.
  • Prepare, implement, and review Ziff Davis quarterly and annual sales strategies in conjunction with Group Sales Manager, Editorial & wider sales team.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the clients within your patch including their product release schedule and briefing cycle.

About You:

Qualifications:

  • Preferable tertiary qualification in business or similar

Experience:

  • Proven Sales and Account management performance – minimum 2-3 years
  • Established history working in digital media sales
  • Strong agency and client relationships in the Australian media market
  • Experience in budgeting & revenue forecasts
  • Proven track record in setting and achieving business & personal goals
  • Experience in sales, research, analytics & ad serving systems such as:
  • Ad Manager 360
  • Sales Force
  • Google Analytics
  • Nielsen
  • ComScore

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of the digital, media, advertising and marketing industry
  • Preferable understanding of Consumer Technology, Games & Entertainment media
  • Well developed communications skills (written & verbal)
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in:
