Overview:

The Partner Marketing Manager is an opportunity for an ambitious marketer or business development manager to join a dynamic business with high growth ambitions within J2 Global’s cloud services organisation.

We are seeking a high-performing, innovative, results-oriented and customer-obsessed Partner Marketing Manager to own the development of indirect channel strategy (reseller, referral, co-promotional partners), own partner recruitment and in life relationship management and work cross matrix with sales and marketing operations to develop acquisition & retention activity to support revenue goals.  Owning your results, you will thrive in rolling up your sleeves and leading by example, intuitively taking a creative approach to getting the most from what you have available to achieve exceptional results.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Voice Marketing, this is an exciting role for the right candidate who enjoys pushing against the status quo. As a key member of the Global Voice Marketing team, this position will shape & drive our B2C and B2B Voice cloud services marketing initiatives across multiple channels and geographies.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Develop the indirect partner channel and own the marketing strategy to deliver growth through this channel across the global footprint
  • Use primary and secondary research to define strategy to build and grow our indirect channel (reseller, referral & co-promotional partners) across the global footprint
  • Work closely with the sales organization globally to develop and continually evolve a best in class partner program including processes, demand generation, lead management, partner support & commercial offers to drive recruitment and retention of indirect partners.
  • Translate insights from research and data into positioning, value propositions and messaging that resonate with the target markets
  • Develop and track KPI’s including sales data, market share, competitor’s marketing and sales activities
  • Develop and own implementation of the indirect partner acquisition strategy
  • Work closely with the marketing operations and sales organization to develop and manage the acquisition strategy
  • Scope, plan and execute marketing programs to grow our indirect partners via on-line & off-line channels (owned, paid, earned and content marketing programs) and build a demand generation engine that generates, and nurtures leads – building a robust pipeline.
  • Translate strategy and messaging into the development of partner sales enablement toolkit incl. training, website, sales presentations, product one pagers, webinars etc.
  • Partner lifecycle management
  • Develop, design and implement a full lifecycle communication plan to continually engage and educate partners to support them to drive new business
  • Develop partner support collateral and marketing programs which support partners sell our products
  • Support execution of joint marketing plans with co-promotional partners and provide ongoing reactive support for their marketing teams. 
  • Set clear performance goals to achieve quarterly and annual goals through online and offline marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a broad range of teams, including international marketing, product, Customer Care, Sales, operations, and creative teams.

  • The role requires the ability to analyze effectiveness of initiatives & campaigns, deep dive on performance, modify campaigns based on conclusions, and clearly articulate results to stakeholders.
  • You have a proven track record of commercial responsibility for growing indirect channels as a partner marketing manager or business development manager with a working background in marketing with a B2B/SaaS company
  • Proven ability to establish and develop relationships quickly across all levels of management in new and existing partner organizations
  • You successfully translate marketing plans into actionable projects and lead the creative development process.

  • flexible and can adapt and deal with evolving priorities and are comfortable operating in a high-energy, rapidly evolving and growing global business                                   

Job Requirements and Experience:

Candidates must be experienced marketers with a proven track record of success. Interested candidates should possess:

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing/ indirect channel development/ business development with a core focus on partner marketing
  • Minimum of 3+ years working on partner marketing or indirect channel development in ecommerce/ SaaS business.
  • Expert numeracy skills. Comfortable with large volumes of data - able to spot insight and direct action quickly.
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring, coaching and retaining a high-performing results driven team
  • Experience managing agency relationships and performance.
  • Language skills (French, German and Spanish) and experience managing multi-country marketing initiatives is a plus.
