Humble Bundle sells games, ebooks, software, and other digital content. Our mission is to support charity while providing awesome content to customers at great prices. We launched in 2010 with a single two-week Humble Indie Bundle, but we have humbly grown into a store full of games and bundles, a subscription service, a game publisher, and more. We have raised $195 million for charity and counting.

Position Intro:

As head of Community Development, you will develop and lead Owned and Earned community programs with a goal of maximizing our customer’s awareness of and engagement in our Publishing and Digitalstorefront businesses, turning as many as possible into ambassadors for our games and products. As such you are also responsible for fostering a thriving network of influencers and partners. As the community leader your role will be focused on three core pillars: Engagement, Community Influencer/Partner Management and Reporting.

You will contribute to building advanced data-driven and customer-centric marketing practices, and to reinventing communication with customers by extending their experience with our games and products.


  • Build a future team of community specialists who influence publishing and ecommerce content strategy, and own relationships with key players and creators. In addition, you will engage indirectly and directly in key topics of conversation within corporate, platform & franchise owned and earned channels.
  • Develop & maintain a deep understanding of our customers. Provide consultation and proactive community feedback in the establishment of our future business plans to make sure they resonate positively with our fans and partner influencers.   
  • Oversee our organic social media strategy 
  • Help with defining the key narratives, drive tone & storytelling of the brand towards existing and new customers in support of revenue goals.  
  • Consult with business verticals, customer service and marketing teams to ensure a consistent approach to our customer communities across our owned and earned channels for both Publishing and Digital Storefront. 
  • Centralize a cross-business vertical view of the community roadmap; provide insights to the other functional teams and identifying social media content opportunities for teams to amplify or execute against. 
  • Partner, and oversee the development of adapted engagement tactics, including specific dedicated programs aiming at our communities’ growth.  
  • In collaboration with the PR and Brand marketing teams build an integrated influencer and streamer strategy aligned with the platform and original content goals.   
  • Work in partnership with the PR team to effectively manage the relationship of important members of the player community and content creators
  • Leverage social listening, benchmark insights and analytics to proceed to fine-tuning and/or adaptation of the strategies to increase business impact, maximizing reach & engagement. Monitor and evaluate impact of community programs for continued improvement.  

Required Experience:

  • 6-8+ years of experience in community development
  • 3-5 years of management experience
  • A background of working within the gaming industry with a wide professional external network.
  • Experience with ecommerce a plus.  
  • Previous experience working on strategic deliverables for a gaming business.  
  • Encompass a deep knowledge of PC gaming space and social media channels
  • Ability to deliver high quality work while managing multiple projects. 
  • Proven track record of successfully leading a team. 
  • Influencing skills and demonstrated ability to navigate in a complex distributed organization. 
  • A genuine passion for gaming and technology.
