The Opportunity

Everyday Health Professional is looking for an Associate Video Producer who will help elevate the brand’s video presence by producing high quality news and social videos from start to finish for our physician audience website MedPageToday.com, and its various social platforms.

The Associate Video Producer will also have strong edit skills in order to assist the Sr. Director of Video with meeting conference coverage, weekly news interviews, and podcasts (not required but an opportunity). The Associate Video Producer will also conceptualize and pitch new story ideas, film new footage/interviews and/or source existing or stock footage to craft engaging stories, and help produce other associated elements to enhance our social media presence.

The ideal candidate is a team player that is able to anticipate what video needs and requests they will have to execute in a quick turnaround situation. We are a daily news site where productivity is key and the ability to generate ideas is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, produce and edit short-form video content (e.g. features, opens/teases, highlight videos, social) for our physician audience website, social media platforms and other various media channels
  • Must understand pre-production, production and post-production workflows of audio/video programs
  • Conceptualize and create video assets aligned with the site's tone of voice, style, and personality.
  • Collaborate with Sr Director of Video, SVP of Editorial, writers, sales team and social media team to ensure project expectations are aligned and met
  • Manage and collaborate with outside vendors or video crews when larger scoped projects occur
  • Opportunities to travel in the role (if/when medical meetings are in-person)
Job Qualifications
  • Experience producing and editing short and long-form video for social media, communications, media, editorial or related digital media field

    • Proficient in operating production and video editing software and equipment (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere/After Effects)

    • Experienced in all aspects of video pre and post-production including editing, sound editing, color grading, finding/pairing music and asset delivery

  • Strong creative judgement to contribute to the editorial tone of voice
  • Excellent time-management skills, organization and project management skills

  • On the pulse of social media trends
