IGN is looking for Producer/Camera Operator who can oversee all aspects of our shows, workflows, and physical production. Experience and a great reel will get you in the door. You see the world in camera resolutions, lighting, editing possibilities, and performance quality. Every detail matters. As a bonus, you love things like Star Wars, Zelda, iPhones, Game of Thrones and Grand Theft Auto.

What does that mean exactly?

  • Ensure IGN's production quality is competitive and always evolving
  • Build and maintain sets, studio productions, and remote live events
  • Work with fellow producers to refine workflows and develop best practices
  • Work closely with content creators and producers to create best-in-class video across a broad range of topics

What will get you in the door?

  • Strong eye for shooting, producing, and editing
  • Experience with professional cameras such as Sony FS7/FS5, Canon C Series, Blackmagic URSA, etc.
  • Experience lighting for interviews and/or scenes.
  • 1-3 years of Post-Production experience.
  • Adobe Premiere experience is required. Avid Media Composer experience a plus.
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative, team environment
  • A positive, problem-solving attitude
  • Passion for IGN, games, movies, television, and comics
  • Willing and able to live in the Bay Area
  • Knowledge of and experience with digital distribution platforms like Youtube, Twitch, Facebook and web publishing is a must

It would be extra awesome if:

  • A passion for video games
  • Experience with media servers such as Avid NEXIS/ISIS.
  • Strong understanding of emerging web-video technologies.
  • Understanding of Internet trends, SEO principles, etc.
  • Have done post-production at a TV or entertainment-centric company.
  • Photoshop or basic image editing software knowledge
