Everyday Health is seeking a dedicated, highly focused, and committed Email Marketing Specialist to join our email deployment team.  The Everyday Health HCP deployment team is responsible for communicating with our Physician and clinician audiences across all of our properties, including,, and a network of related properties. Overall we reach >750 thousand practicing physicians in the US and 2 million other HCPs.


The ideal person will be a highly motivated team player who has excellent technical, interpersonal and analytical skills and is interested in helping our related network of properties to maximize the effectiveness of all email communications including newsletters, alerts and marketing emails. This person will work cross functionally to create and deploy compelling email communications in timely and accurate manor. They will work to constantly improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the emails we send. This may take the form of

  • Design, coding and launch of new email and newsletter products
  • Creating and optimizing automated and personalized campaigns
  • Working quickly to produce proof of concept campaigns
  • Overseeing and launching scalable and repeatable newsletter products
  • Enabling other groups within the organization to send email communications to our user base in a way that serves the needs of the HCP group as a whole
  • Defining and creating processes that allow team members across the organization to contribute to improving impact of the emails we send
  • Managing email lists and defining the appropriate audiences for various communications


This is a hands-on role that requires proficiency with HTML and Email Service Providers (ESPs) like Campaigner, WhatCounts, SendGrid and SailThru.



  • Own end to end email implementation including in specifications, design, coding, set-up, execution of email and newsletter campaigns
  • Work cross functionally with the editorial, marketing and development teams to develop and refine new email products and ensure best practices are utilized in all outbound email communications
  • Provide insight and direction to improve campaign performance and effectiveness
  • Employ a data driven approach to understanding the MedPage Today audience and the content in order to provide greater insight into what drives physician engagement via the email channel



  • Must be a self-starter; able to work with minimal supervision to initiate and complete tasks individually and requiring input from multiple sources
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe’s Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver, as well as Power Point and Excel.
  • General understanding of enterprise level reporting tools
  • Intermediate knowledge (1-3 years’ experience) of HTML
  • Attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
  • Knowledge of web design best practices and web standards
  • Understanding of digital media required, advertising industry knowledge a plus
  • Must be outgoing, proactive, friendly, and work well under pressure
