Culture in Action

ITS has a team of 40 employees, primarily serving as Installation Technicians, that directly support the Northwell Health System, one of the largest hospital networks in the tri-state area.  When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, our team not only continued providing daily support to 26 hospitals and approximately 700 remote offices (ie: urgent care facilities, diagnostic centers), they were also tasked with quickly establishing new work stations.

As Northwell converted break rooms and cafeterias into treatment areas and built entire surge unit tents, ITS employees were right alongside of them, deploying over 1,800 assets and responding to any down equipment.  They rented a truck to service over 1,000 square miles, donned their PPE (including face shields designed and produced by ATS), and worked countless hours to support the healthcare workers.  “It was an extremely fast-paced environment and the team worked hand-in-hand with the Northwell administration to ensure their safety,” said Al Castrillon, ITS Director - Managed Services, “the team just did a phenomenal job from the project management team to the installation teams to provide 24/7 support.”

Their dedication impacted much more than the care of the patients. They built a community as they provided 600 iPads so family members could communicate with the patients.  The team received numerous accolades from Northwell in regards to their technical expertise, promptness, patience, customer service, and dedication.  Here is just one recognition they received from one of their senior executives:
