Solutions Design Lead (378)

Information TechnologyRemote, Arlington, Virginia

Description

OVERVIEW

iTech AG is seeking a Solutions Design Lead to shape and author the ServiceNow solution content behind our proposals. This position sits in the Solutions department within iTech AG's Delivery division and reports to the EVP of Solutions. Solutions is one of several organizations that contribute to a proposal submission, alongside business development, capture, our sector delivery leads, pricing, and contracts; the Proposal Development Center, also part of the Delivery division, owns and runs the proposal process itself, including schedule, compliance, reviews, and submission. This role owns the solution: the technical approach, the architecture, and the written content that conveys them to the customer. Pursuits are assigned by the EVP of Solutions once a decision has been made to bid.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the ServiceNow solution for assigned pursuits: define the technical approach, solution architecture, and implementation model in partnership with the sector delivery lead and the ServiceNow Center of Excellence
  • Author the solution content that supports technical and delivery-dependent management sections, including approach, architecture, implementation and transition plans, and technical risk, working within the schedule, page limits, and compliance requirements set by the Proposal Development Center
  • Serve as the Solutions point of contact to capture and the Proposal Development Center on assigned pursuits: participate in the kickoffs and color team reviews they run, and resolve review comments on solution content
  • Broker technical input from ServiceNow architects, project managers, and practice leads by running working sessions and converting their input into finished, customer-ready content
  • Translate the proposed solution into win themes, discriminators, and persuasive, customer-centered messaging in partnership with capture and business development
  • Partner with the sector delivery lead, who owns staffing and level of effort, so that the written solution reflects the team, skills, and sequencing that will actually deliver the work
  • Position iTech AG's ServiceNow credentials within the response, including reference architectures, relevant past performance, partner alignment, and platform and licensing considerations
  • Build and maintain a reusable library of ServiceNow solution assets, such as reference architectures and approach narratives, and keep that material technically current for use by the proposal team
  • Independently own RFIs and sources sought responses end to end: solution, write, and submit them without additional support, engaging the sector delivery lead when a response requires level of effort input
  • Contribute solution input to white papers and oral presentations
  • Support both long-range, capture-driven pursuits and fast-turn, relationship-driven opportunities, taking direction from the EVP of Solutions on how fast-turn work is prioritized and staffed
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience writing technical solutions on ServiceNow for competitive bids or client proposals
  • Working knowledge of the ServiceNow platform sufficient to shape an implementation approach and defend it to a technical evaluator
  • Demonstrated ability to turn technical concepts into clear, persuasive written content on deadline
  • Ability to independently own a response end to end, including RFIs and sources sought responses, from solution through writing to submission
  • Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams to build strong client-facing responses
  • Ability to manage competing pursuit deadlines and multiple contributors as the owner of solution content
  • Comfort operating in a growing company where processes evolve and roles may span functions
  • Ability to support both structured federal opportunities and more dynamic commercial pursuits
  • Ability to perform essential job duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodations

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience authoring technical volumes within federal proposal environments
  • Prior hands-on delivery or implementation experience on ServiceNow projects
  • Familiarity with Shipley-based proposal practices as a solution contributor to color team reviews
  • Familiarity with AI tools that support content generation, review, or qualification workflows
  • Experience working in consulting, professional services, or technology services organizations

SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Pursuant to government contracts, US Citizenship is required
