ISP Data Analyst Role Profile
Purpose of Role
We are seeking a versatile Data Analyst who can bridge the gap between the technical and business requirements to drive informed decision-making within ISP. A key focus of the role is to source and help industrialise the extraction of data for the data platform. The ability to clean and query raw data to build requirements for ETL processing ensure accuracy, consistency & governance is key. This role will sit within a project team including; Data Engineers, BI Developers, BI Managers and a Scrum Master, and reporting to the Head of Data Engineering. Within this role you will showcase your expertise in QA testing, business analysis and stakeholder management to provide data-driven solutions, combining a unique blend of technical expertise and business strategy with a degree of accuracy.

ISP Data Analyst Key Responsibilities
The Data Analyst will play a key role in the following tasks but these roles and responsibilities may change over the data journey, providing an opportunity to grow and shape the role
- Source, clean and query data in order to build requirements and reports
- Apply analytical techniques to uncover insights ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Working closely with business stakeholders to understand the requirements
- Identify, troubleshoot and track defects to support the development and testing lifecycle
- Support the wider data team by preparing comprehensive reports and actionable recommendations
- Ensure high levels of data security and compliance while adhering to data policies and procedures
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Keen eye for detail
- Experience with Azure Databricks is essential
- Strong experience with SQL and Python
- Experience or knowledge of visualization tools – Power BI
- Experience supporting the development and testing lifecycle – Azure DevOps
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field – Desirable
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with particular experience on stakeholder management
- Ability to manage the evolving data requirement
