ISP Soccer Coach Role Profile

 

Purpose of Role

The Soccer Coach is responsible for leading extracurricular soccer training and activities for students, fostering physical development, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. The role aims to develop students’ soccer skills while creating a safe, motivating, and inclusive environment that aligns with the school’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and deliver age-appropriate soccer training sessions and practice drills.
  • Teach fundamental and advanced soccer techniques, tactics, and game rules.
  • Promote teamwork, respect, discipline, and fair play among players.
  • Lead students in friendly matches, tournaments, and inter-school competitions.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during practices, games, and events.
  • Track student progress and provide individualized feedback to encourage improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Extracurricular Activities Coordinator and school staff to strengthen the program.
  • Maintain soccer equipment and ensure proper use of sports facilities.
  • Inspire motivation, resilience, and a positive attitude toward sports.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field (preferred).
  • Soccer coaching certification (national or international, desirable).
  • First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
