ISP AFTER SCHOOL TEACHER Profile

 

Purpose of Role

To provide a well-rounded after-school program that supports students' academic, social, and physical development through diverse disciplines, fostering a safe and engaging environment that encourages learning, creativity, and personal growth.

ISP After School Teacher Key Responsibilities

 

  • Supervise and engage students in a safe and positive after-school environment.
  • Plan and implement educational and recreational activities that support student learning and development.
  • Assist students with homework and provide academic support as needed.
  • Encourage positive social interactions and teamwork among students.
  • Monitor student behavior and ensure adherence to school policies.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and school staff about student progress and any concerns.
  • Prepare and organize materials and resources for activities and lessons.
  • Support the overall goals of the after-school program to foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.

 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Skills:

Classroom management – Skilled in maintaining a respectful, focused, and supportive learning environment

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings.
  • Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities across multiple disciplines (academic, arts, sports, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and the ability to engage students with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or required depending on the institution).
  • Flexibility to work after school hours.

 

Experience:

2–5 years of experience teaching after school activities with children..
