Purpose of Role
The Basketball Coach is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading extracurricular basketball activities for students. The role aims to promote teamwork, discipline, physical fitness, and sportsmanship while developing students’ basketball skills in a safe, motivating, and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and supervise age-appropriate basketball training sessions and practice plans.
- Instruct students on fundamental and advanced basketball techniques, strategies, and game rules.
- Foster teamwork, fair play, respect, and discipline among players.
- Organize and lead games, tournaments, and inter-school competitions.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during practices, games, and events.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback for skill improvement.
- Collaborate with the Extracurricular Activities Coordinator and school staff to align the program with the school’s mission and values.
- Maintain basketball equipment and facilities in proper condition.
- Encourage participation, motivation, and positive attitudes in sports.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field (preferred).
- Coaching certification in basketball (national or international, desirable).
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
