Purpose of Role

To plan and deliver engaging Art & Craft lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum, fostering creativity, imagination, and artistic skills among students while supporting their holistic development.

CSA - Art & Craft Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

Academic & Teaching Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate Art & Craft lessons as per the Cambridge curriculum framework
• Introduce students to various art forms, techniques, and mediums (drawing, painting, collage, clay modeling, craft work, etc.)
• Encourage creativity, originality, and self-expression in students
• Assess, evaluate, and document student progress in accordance with Cambridge assessment standards
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Curriculum & Classroom Management

• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching aids
• Maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring art classroom environment
• Ensure proper use, care, and storage of art materials and equipment
• Integrate cross-curricular themes where applicable

Student Development & Engagement

• Motivate students to participate in exhibitions, competitions, and school events
• Identify and nurture artistic talents
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents

Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with class teachers and coordinators
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events
• Support school activities such as celebrations, assemblies, and annual exhibitions
• Stay updated with Cambridge teaching methodologies and best practices
