Location: Kovaipudur, Coimbatore, India
 
Reporting Line: Head of the School 
Purpose of Role  
The HR Manager provides professional HR services to all staff members, covering the employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit in accordance with labor laws. They play an active role in the day-to-day running of the school and work with all departments to maintain a positive work environment and fair people processes.. 
The HR Manager will report directly to the Head of the School and functionally to the Regional Head of HR. They will collaborate with other functions to ensure the smooth running of HR operations. The post holders will be expected to build a close working relationship with colleagues in the ISP regional team and school leadership to effectively perform their duties.

Key Responsibilities
1. Talent acquisition and onboarding/ offboarding
Lead the recruitment process by identifying vacancies, creating job ads, scheduling interviews, screening candidates, and handling onboarding and induction. Also, manage exit interviews and final settlement payments for exiting employees.
 
2 - HR Operations
Manage human resources operations at school level. Implement a consistent human resources strategy with direction from ISP regional office across the school with accountability for talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safeguarding, succession planning, employee relations and retention, regional regulations, ISP compliance and local labour relations.
Reporting: publish metrics and reports on data such as staff turnover, references, cost per hire, training hours per person, productivity etc.
Compliance: comply with local legal requirements and advising on required actions including areas such as Academic Regulatory compliance.
Systems: Drive the usage and adoption of HRIS and related payroll. for staff attendance recording and work alongside the Finance Manager to produce the monthly payroll.
 
3 - Organizational development
Improve organizational effectiveness through the development and deployment of solutions to improve productivity and drive a performance culture. Consult with ISP team and school leadership teams on change management opportunities – provide guidance on resources, processes, and tools. Serve as partner to provide advice on organizational design issues.
 
4 - Talent management
Implement succession planning and talent review processes with guidance from the ISP office. Coordinate with key stakeholders and school leadership. Develop tools for assessing and developing talent and stay updated on training and development best practices.
 
5 - Talent development/education
Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement tailored learning and development activities, ensure performance management opportunities, and manage employee training programs and budgets.
 
6 - Employee Engagement
The HR Manager collects feedback through various channels like NPS surveys, onboarding surveys, Employee Engagement surveys, exit interviews, etc. This feedback is used to enhance engagement and helps CSA  improve. The HR Manager works with the Head of School on feedback, action planning and communication.
 
Other Responsibilities 
  • Undertake such other reasonable responsibilities and tasks that the Head of the School, and the ISP Team may assign.

  • To plan, organise and prioritise time and workload in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of working in the education sector is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate perfectly in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to converse in Tamil.

  • Qualifications
    • Professional qualification – MBA in Human Resources (Preferably from a reputed B School)
  • Experience
  • 7 to 10 Years. With a minimum of 3 years leading a team. 
  • Fair knowledge of Indian Labour laws
