We are a unique campus, home to Tenby International School, which consists of a Primary and Secondary School (IPC, National Curriculum for England, CIE, IGCSE), and a Malaysian Private School, Sekolah Sri Tenby (Malaysian National Curriculum). Profile Summary
The Assistant Head of Data and Assessment will support the Head of School in overseeing data management systems, assessment procedures, and reporting mechanisms. This role involves ensuring data accuracy, analysing assessment data, and contributing to data-driven decisions. The Assistant Head will work closely with Secondary staff and the IT team to improve data processes, manage assessment strategies, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Responsibilities
● Data Management:
○ Oversee and help to maintain data systems related to student, staff, or organizational performance.
○ Ensure data accuracy and integrity in the collection, processing, and storage of assessment data.
○ Develop and maintain databases to support efficient data retrieval and analysis.
● Assessment Support:
○ Coordinate and manage the assessment schedules, ensuring timely data collection and reporting.
○ Design and implement assessment frameworks that align with institutional goals and standards.
○ Monitor and analyse assessment data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and actionable insights.
○ Provide data-driven recommendations to the leadership team for strategic planning and intervention purposes.
● Reporting & Analysis:
○ Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
○ Present assessment data and analysis to leadership, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
○ Develop performance metrics and track progress toward organizational goals.
○ Assist with preparing reports for external inspections.
● Staff Training & Development:
○ Train staff and team members on data systems, assessment tools, and data interpretation.
○ Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for users of the data management systems.
○ Ensure that staff are up to date on changes in data management practices or assessment procedures.
● Collaboration:
○ Work closely with various departments, including academics, IT, and human resources, to integrate data and assessment into decision-making processes.
○ Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure a cohesive data and assessment strategy.
○ Actively participate in strategic planning sessions to align data practices with organizational goals.
● Compliance & Standards:
○ Ensure compliance with local, national, and international data regulations and assessment standards.
○ Stay informed of emerging trends in data management, educational assessments, or corporate metrics.
○ Assist with audits, inspections, and the implementation of changes as per regulatory requirements.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
● A qualified secondary teacher with a relevant Bachelor Degree Education /Bachelor Degree with PGDEi/PGDE/PGDT and is working towards a leadership qualification
● Experience in data management, assessment, or educational performance evaluation.
● Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and database management.
● Strong understanding of assessment frameworks and standardised testing.
● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
● Ability to present complex data in an easily understandable format to various stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
● Experience in an educational setting (schools, colleges)
● Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other educational software.
● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Personal Attributes:
● Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
● Collaborative and able to work well within a team environment.
● Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
● Proactive with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

This is a two-year contract with an option to renew at the end. Benefits include:
