The successful candidate will join our experienced and growing Mathematics department, who deliver an outstanding learning experience which goes well beyond the classroom.
Our aim is to enable every child to achieve more than they dreamed possible, in a happy and inclusive environment where everyone is supported and encouraged to excel.
The Mathematics department consists of a team of highly experienced teachers delivering a full suite of Mathematics from KS3 to KS5. We are proud to offer Further Mathematics at both IGCSE and International A-Level, which further pushes our most able students. Prospective candidates will have the opportunity to assist the growth of the department, by teaching a variety of these levels.

Members of the department have an excellent working relationship, which is extended to staff from other departments. The department’s main aim is to achieve the highest possible standards for all students, according to their individual abilities.
Our students enjoy our online Sparx Maths homework platform and practise key skills learnt in class at home and in our lunch club. Teachers are expected to set homework on the platform once a week and recognise strengths and weaknesses from the results of the automatic marking.
The department is passionate about our subject, ensuring that we celebrate Pi day, with cross curriculum events and activities, run chess competitions and clubs as well as the UKMT challenge for our students.
The department is proud of their exam results and currently we have a quarter of our Year 11 students taking Further Mathematics IGCSE and just over a third of our Year 12/13 students taking Further Maths A-Level. These bright and gifted young adults have applied to do a range of apirational degrees at university, including Medicine, Aeronautical Engineering and Astrology with Astrophysics.
