Marketing Coordinator School Role Profile- RD New Horizons

 

 

Reporting

This position reports directly (solid line) to the Head of Marketing & Communications, based in the Santo Domingo campus.
This position reports functionally (dotted line) to the Santiago Campus Principal.

Purpose of Role

 

The Marketing Coordinator at the Santiago campus is responsible for locally implementing the marketing and communication strategy defined by the Head of Marketing, ensuring effective and timely execution of marketing initiatives. This role requires a high level of autonomy and organization, as well as the ability to coordinate and report remotely to the Head of Marketing in Santo Domingo and Regional Marketing Team.

This person will manage the Santiago campus's social media accounts, cover school events, produce visual content (photo and video), and coordinate with local vendors. They should also contribute to basic design and editing tasks, ensuring brand consistency and communication quality.


The coordinator will act as a school ambassador in the community and directly support the positive perception and local presence of the institution.

Role Key Responsibilities

Marketing Execution

  • Execute the annual marketing plan in coordination with the Head of Marketing.
  • Ensure adherence to the campus content and events calendar.
  • Provide local market insights, including competitor information and positioning opportunities.

Social Media Management –

  • Manage the Santiago campus social media accounts.
  • Create engaging visual content (photos and videos) during school events and key moments.
  • Write basic copy aligned with brand tone.

 

Design and materials production

  • Support the creation and adaptation of simple graphic materials.
  • Coordinate with local vendors for printing and promotional material distribution.

PR & Communications –

  • Serve as the local point of contact for media and community events.
  • Support internal and external communication campaign execution.
  • Share relevant information with the Santo Domingo team for national or regional publication.

 

Support for School Events and Recruitment

  • Coordinate event coverage to generate promotional content.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions team in lead-generation events such as Open Houses, tours, and fairs.

 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in similar roles, preferably in educational or service-oriented settings.
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills (experience with Canva, CapCut, or similar is preferred).
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, results oriented.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail oriented.
  • Intermediate-advanced English level (reading and writing).
