ISP Teacher Assistant Role Profile
Purpose of Role
The Teacher Assistant supports the holistic development and care of young students by assisting in the implementation of educational plans and programs. This role works in close collaboration with the lead teacher to provide both pedagogical and caregiving support, foster healthy habits, and create a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment for children.

ISP Teacher Assistant Key Responsibilities
• • Support the implementation of educational plans and programs under the guidance of the lead teacher.
• Provide pedagogical and caregiving attention to students alongside the teacher.
• Prepare and maintain didactic materials to support learning activities.
• Report to the lead teacher regarding students’ conduct, health, and overall wellbeing.
• Follow teacher instructions regarding students requiring special attention or referral.
• Promote and assist in the development of healthy habits such as hygiene, nutrition, and order.
• Distribute and serve meals to children, guiding them in proper table habits.
• Collaborate with the teacher in drafting communications to parents.
• Encourage hygiene practices such as tooth brushing, proper use of restrooms, and handwashing before meals and after using the bathroom.
• Assist the teacher in toilet training and ensure appropriate hygienic conditions are maintained.
• Help prepare and decorate classrooms to create a welcoming and engaging learning environment.
• Receive and release children according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in meetings as required.
• Coordinate with the teacher to update progress and status of assigned activities.
• Suggest pedagogical activities to the teacher.
• Maintain hygienic conditions of classrooms, teaching materials, and equipment.
• Request necessary supplies for the preparation of didactic materials according to established procedures.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred).
• Training or certification in early childhood education desirable.
• Basic knowledge of child development and educational practices.
Experience
• Previous experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings preferred.
• Experience assisting in classrooms, daycare centers, or similar environments is an advantage.
