Infrastructure Support Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide hands-on operational support across both network and compute infrastructure, ensuring that infrastructure services remain stable, secure, and reliable. The role combines day-to-day network and system administration, infrastructure monitoring, incident and change management, server room operations, vendor coordination, and collaboration with local, sector, and global technology teams.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in Network Operations, System Administration, Infrastructure Support, or a similar IT Operations role.
  • Solid understanding of both network and compute infrastructure, with practical experience in at least one of these areas and working knowledge of the other.
  • Good knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, routing and switching, and fundamental firewall concepts.
  • Practical experience with Windows Server installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Cisco switching and wireless environments, including Access Points, patch panels, cabling, port mapping, and cabinet organization.
  • Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues end-to-end across hardware, operating system, network, configuration, and connectivity layers.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring, alert management, and proactive identification of recurring issues.
  • Practical experience with server room operations, including UPS, cooling, fire systems, environmental monitoring, cabling, and physical infrastructure.
  • Ability to provide remote hands support, including cabling, device reboots, console access, hardware replacement, and basic infrastructure installation activities.
  • Good understanding of ITSM / ITIL practices, particularly Incident, Change, and Problem Management; experience with ServiceNow is an advantage.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, telecom/carrier providers, engineering teams, and global support teams.
  • Fluent in both English and Turkish, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for network and compute infrastructure to ensure stable and reliable IT services.
  • Monitor network and infrastructure environments, review alerts, identify potential issues, and proactively prevent service interruptions.
  • Troubleshoot network incidents across cabling, hardware, switching, routing, configuration, and connectivity layers.
  • Support Windows Server and compute environments, including configuration, troubleshooting, hardware-related activities, and operational maintenance.
  • Provide first-line infrastructure support during major incidents and outages, participate in bridge calls, and coordinate escalations with relevant teams.
  • Perform infrastructure activities under approved Change Requests in accordance with corporate change control procedures.
  • Identify recurring infrastructure issues, support problem management activities, and drive sustainable resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate physical and logical infrastructure inventories, asset records, topology documentation, and server room documentation.
  • Support network delivery and implementation activities, including switch, Access Point, cabling, port mapping, circuit, and IP-related tasks.
  • Support telecom/carrier circuits, including activation, termination, relocation, and IP assignment activities, in coordination with carriers and engineering teams.
  • Perform server room inspections covering power, environmental conditions, fire systems, water leakage, alarms, and overall infrastructure standards.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance activities for infrastructure components such as UPS, air conditioning, fire equipment, monitoring systems, and other critical facilities.
  • Provide remote hands support for global teams, including cabling, reboots, console access, hardware replacement, and device installation.
  • Coordinate hardware failures, spare parts, repairs, and replacements with vendors and internal procurement teams.
  • Support backup-related operational activities by providing accurate server information and coordinating with global backup teams.
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation activities in coordination with Security, Sector, and Global infrastructure teams.
  • Maintain and update ITSM records, including incidents, changes, assets, and infrastructure-related documentation.
  • Support server onboarding, decommissioning, infrastructure moves, and other lifecycle management activities.
  • Collaborate with Global Network and Compute Engineering teams on complex technical issues, advanced IP services, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
  • Support warehouse/site openings, closures, and mergers by preparing and coordinating the required infrastructure equipment.
  • Work closely with vendors, field support, engineering, delivery, OT, and site teams to resolve infrastructure issues efficiently.
  • Prepare and maintain required technical, audit, HLD/LLD, topology, and compliance documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives aimed at reducing recurring incidents and improving infrastructure stability.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Network: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, routing & switching, Cisco switching and wireless, Access Points, cabling and patch panels.
  • Systems: Windows Server, compute infrastructure, server hardware, remote hands, basic backup operations.
  • Infrastructure Operations: Server rooms, UPS, cooling, fire systems, environmental monitoring, hardware lifecycle and asset management.
  • ITSM: Incident, Change and Problem Management; ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Infrastructure monitoring, alert management, root cause analysis, recurring incident identification.
  • Documentation: Network topology, HLD/LLD, asset records, audit documentation, operational procedures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

         Experience working in a global or multinational IT environment.

         Cisco-related certifications or equivalent practical experience.

         ITIL certification or practical experience with ITIL-based service management processes.

         Experience with telecom/carrier coordination and infrastructure delivery activities.

         Experience working with global engineering, security, backup, and service management teams.
