What is the interview process for ISG? Candidates will go through a series of interviews conducted via telephone, face to face and/or teleconferences with Talent Acquisition along with various leadership and decision makers for the applicable role. After the interview process, the hiring team will review the candidates' interview feedback and subsequently inform candidates of their status and possible upcoming steps. Our process also includes a background and reference check. |

Where are you located? Do I have to consider relocation to work for ISG? ISG's global headquarters are in Stamford, CT, USA, and we have offices and operations throughout Northern Europe, SEMEA, Asia, DACH, ANZ and Americas. Relocation is on a case-by-case scenario and depends on various factors including business needs or type of role. With that said, we offer flexible work practices and, in many cases, allow our employees the option of working remotely. Location details will be listed in job postings. |

As a consultant, is there opportunity to work abroad? There are opportunities for consultants at different levels to work in other countries. Such opportunities are predicated on client needs and the availability of internal resources. |
What type of client work do ISG's consultants perform? ISG helps private and public sector organizations transform and optimize their operational environments through research, benchmarking, consulting and managed services, with a focus on information technology, business process transformation, program management services and enterprise resource planning. |
How much travel can I expect as a consultant? You can expect to travel as an ISG Consultant in excess of 75% of your time, depending upon the Service Line you are assigned. You will be working onsite with clients individually or in concert with colleagues depending on the engagement, attending training sessions and seminars or participating in ad hoc duties as determined by leadership. Although travel will vary based on project needs, weekly four-day trips are common with Fridays back at your home office. If you can't travel or do not like to travel, consulting work is not the right choice for you. |
What is the typical career path for a consultant with ISG? Although the career path for consultants can vary dependent on the specific practice they work within, the typical career path and role duration is: Analyst (18 mos. ‐ 2 years.), Consultant (2-3 years), Sr. Consultant (2-4 years), Consulting Manager (3-5 years), Principal Consultant (4-5+ years) and Director (7+ years). |
