IronNet’s mission is simple:  To deliver the power of collective cybersecurity to defend companies, sectors, and nations.  For decades, companies have been defending against cyber attacks on their own while adversaries have been organizing themselves into sophisticated hacker networks … until now, with IronNet Collective Defense.  In 2014, General (Ret) Keith Alexander, former Commander U.S. Cyber Command, launched IronNet to strengthen cybersecurity defense against highly sophisticated adversaries, across all borders and sectors.   

In response to cyber adversaries who increasingly collaborate for collective offense, leading organizations in our critical infrastructure are using collective defense strategies and solutions to meet these powerful and ever-changing threats.  We believe that collective defense is our collective responsibility and we are leading the charge.

The Opportunity

IronNet is hiring Account Executives in the Northwest, Southwest, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic to expand our enterprise account base across the United States.  These new roles will be key to continuing our mission and expanding our growth.  

To be successful in this role you must be able and willing to . . .

  • Leverage a well-defined sales process to achieve and exceed 100% net-new quota 
  • Use creative methods and approaches to prospect and sell new business, i.e. social selling - Twitter and leverage podcasts 
  • Embrace a variety of sales tools to identify, prospect and track opportunities, including SalesLoft, LinkedIn Navigator and outreach.io
  • Successfully build out a net new territory
  • Differentiate and stand out from the competition
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, growth-minded company that is being created in real-time
  • Sell a paradigm shifting solution for which there is no “magic quadrant”
  • Heavily research your account set and develop 3.5x of pipeline of net-new business opportunities from a multi-pronged prospecting approach
  • Demonstrate an understand cybersecurity solutions, terminology, and trends
  • Work harder than you ever have before to truly make a difference

You may be the person we need if you . . .

  • Have a track record of success in a Senior Inside Sales Rep or Junior Field Sales Rep selling cybersecurity products to enterprise customers
  • Thrive in high-transaction sales environments focused on 100% net-new business 
  • Use creative methods and approaches to close new business
  • Prospect with a focus on generating a high volume of transactions vs a few very large transactions
  • Have documented formal sales training and have progressed from Sales Development to Inside Sales to Field Sales 
  • Leverage a well-defined, repeatable sales process that delivers results
  • Use tools such as SalesLoft, Sales Navigator and outreach.io
  • Understand how to differentiate product to close deals
  • Demonstrated success, flexibility and adaptability through the Covid pandemic, and made the transition to selling in a “Work from Home” environment
  • Are mission and values focused, as well as tenacious and have a can-do attitude
  • Communicate effectively in a variety of ways and are extremely detail oriented
  • Can accurately forecast revenue quarters in advance
