Summary of Position: 

IREX seeks a qualified expert consultant in youth development.  This expert consultancy will take place remotely over an 8 day period during April 2022.  

Summary of Responsibilities:  

  • Strategic advising on IREX focus on youth development  
  • Review of analysis of organizational capabilities and external landscape on youth development with consideration for geography and youth needs.  
  • Advice on identification of focus area on youth development  
  • Recommendations on areas of growth, investment, and funding opportunities including donors and/or revenue stream 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Significant experience in strategic advising on youth in diverse regions globally.  
  • Keen understanding of youth needs and opportunities in diverse regions globally, including Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East and North Africa, Latin America and the Carribbean, and Asia. 
  • Experience with donors including governments and private sector.  
  • Experience with developing and implementing revenue streams for program funding 
  • Preferred experience working with USAID-funded programs in multiple contexts. 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and cooperate effectively with a large and multicultural team.
