About the Role:

IPSY is looking for an inspiring, capable merchandise leader for its portfolio/subscription business. By combining personalization, delight, discovery, convenience, and value into an innovative and fun experience, IPSY is re-imagining the beauty landscape. In this role, you will work closely with the SVP Merchandising and Director of Merchandising in developing and communicating a merchandising vision for the portfolio including the three subscription businesses: Glam Bag, Glam Bag Plus, and Glam Bag X while assessing the brand community, conducting market research, evaluating the competition, testing products, and partnering with key internal partners across the company to propel our subscription business to the next level via compelling, covetable merchandise in line with member product and subcategory preferences. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work in partnership with SVP Merch & Director of Merch to develop the IPSY subscription merchandise vision, strategy, and execution to deliver on the ultimate IPSY member experience.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Partnership team to ensure alignment and mutual support while targeting the industry’s most enticing, covetable, and relevant merchandise sourced to match IPSY member product and sub-category preferences.
  • Partner closely with planning counterparts to deliver on the best merch for each subscription program at cost of goods that meet budget and brand tier requirements.
  • Work closely with Commerce merch counterparts to generate/share ideas and business opportunities
  • Build positive relationships with other cross-functional teams including brand marketing, growth, member journey, operations, and customer care to imagine and execute a delightful member experience.
  • Lead, motivate, and inspire a high-performing merchandising team.
  • Deliver key KPIs including 80%+ average product star ratings for all programs at budgeted cogs.
  • Ideate to keep the IPSY subscriptions fresh, innovative, relevant, enticing and delightful.
  • Ensure that IPSY’s Glam Bag X remains the industry’s most exciting, enticing curated celeb box

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  
  • 5+ years of merchandising in a leadership role. Beauty specific merchandising experience preferred.
  • Candidate must be a beauty product expert – engaged with existing beauty and product trends, constantly curious about the beauty industry, and an avid consumer of beauty and wellness products.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, develop strategic ideas, and project manage a concept to full execution.
  • Track record of success.
  • Ability to drive, influence, and collaborate across numerous functional areas.
  • Experience analyzing markets and trends, anticipating opportunities and developing strategic insights.
  • Agile – highly flexible to adapting to changes within the industry and within the organization.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, startup environment. Must be calm and collected under pressure.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, judgment and quantitative skills.
  • Passion for the beauty industry and IPSY's overall mission.
