Responsibilities and Expectations: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) Subject Matter Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise, guidance, and support related to VFD systems across various projects and initiatives within the organization. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all matters related to Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) within the organization.    
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, engineering teams, and other stakeholders on the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of VFD systems.    
  • Conduct detailed assessments and evaluations of existing VFD systems, identifying areas for improvement, optimization, and efficiency enhancement. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement best practices, standards, and guidelines for the selection, installation, and integration of VFD systems.    
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, developments, and advancements in VFD technology, and provide recommendations for the adoption of new technologies or methodologies to enhance performance and efficiency.    

 

  • Develop and deliver technical training programs, workshops, and presentations to educate internal teams and external stakeholders on VFD systems and related topics.    
  • Support sales and business development efforts by providing technical expertise and assistance in the preparation of proposals, bids, and project specifications related to VFD systems.  

 

 

Qualifications and Competencies: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.    
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical role with a focus on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and related systems.    
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of VFD technology, principles of operation, and applications across various industries.    
  • Strong technical skills in VFD programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.    
  • Proven track record of successful project management and execution in VFD-related projects.    
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.    
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems, develop innovative solutions, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.    
  • Relevant certifications or training in VFD systems and related technologies (e.g., VFD manufacturer certifications, Professional Engineer license) is a plus.

Salary/Pay Range:

  •  $125,000-$130,000
