Responsibilities and Expectations: 

  • Perform buying and customer service duties for incoming orders and inquiries.  
  • Act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems when required. 
  • Supports the outside sales organization and OEM partners with quotes, vendor management, and customer expectations for total satisfaction and ownership of clients.  
  • Responsible for order taking, processing, investigation, and resolving order issues.
  • Maintain current documentation to support programs such as CIPS, COR, CSA, and other programs.
  • Coordination of customer service objectives with distribution operations. 
  • Provide customer and sales correspondence, the tracing and expediting of shipments, and inventory management. 
  • Complete special price quotations and bids from sales personnel. Work closely with customers to ensure satisfaction. 
  • Some evening and weekend support may be required in critical situations.

Qualifications and Competencies: 

  • Prefer 2+ years of technical sales or customer service, buyer, or similar experience 
  • Prefer experience in the electrical/mechanical industry 
  • Sharp analytical thinking and reasoning abilities 
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and take appropriate action 
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented with sound problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain a high degree of organization 
  • Excellent time management 
  • Ability to communicate technical data in a clear and concise manner 
  • Poses excellent written and verbal skills  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 
  • SCMP designation a plus
