Responsibilities and Expectations: 

  • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shop & employees. 
  • Will manage, coordinate, and prioritize workflow in large motor shop. 
  • Maintain schedules/deliveries.  
  • Distribute workload.      
  • Provide superior technical support for our customers. 
  • Direct the shop personnel to assure the technical competence of work being completed. 
  • Maintain the present customer base as well as build new relationships 
  • Adhere to all company policies 
  • Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (especially eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, etc.). 
  • Keep work area clean and organized. 
  •  
    • Report all injuries, near misses and accidents immediately to a supervisor. 
    • All other duties as assigned.  

 

Qualifications and Competencies: 

  • Qualifications and Competencies: 
    • Previous supervisory/management experience in the electric motor/rotating apparatus repair industry with knowledge of AC/DC motor repair. Additional experience with pumps, generators, blowers and field service also desired. 
    • Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and to problem solve. 
    • Exceptional customer service skills and growing awareness of our products and services.  
    • Strong personnel & account management and communication skills a must. 
    • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree desired but will consider experience and skills as well.
