Key Responsibilities and Expectations: 

 

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Parts Cleaner/Truck Driver to join our team. This person will be responsible for sandblasting, stripping and cleaning circuit breakers and the transportation of equipment and materials to customers as needed.

  • Clean internal and external parts of circuit breakers and other equipment to ensure proper preparation for reconditioning and repair processes
  • Operate tumbler and sandblaster to clean and strip breaker parts and specialty hardware
  • Brush parts and operate degreasing tanks to remove grease
  • Continuously adhere to all safety procedures and wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment when applicable
  • Assist with painting breaker parts prior to assembly as needed
  • Participate in daily operations discussions on customer products 
  • Transport and deliver goods in accordance with a schedule, including emergency, rush deliveries or pick-ups that require overtime
  • Verify count and condition of transported items, reporting any damage as applicable
  • Assist in loading and unloading freight as required
  • Ensure that loads are properly secured prior to departure and that loads are within the designated weight limit range
  • Continuously operate truck in a safe manner and report any vehicle problems or defects to supervisor immediately
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and regulations
  • Maintain vehicles in a manner that projects a positive company image to customers and the general public
  • Ensure good customer relations by consistently delivering orders on time and by acting in a courteous, professional manner
  • Travel to customer sites to assist with field service projects as needed

 

Qualifications and Competencies: 

 

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Proven work experience as a truck driver
  • Maintain a good driving record with no recent moving or driving violations
  • Ability to drive long hours and remain seated for up to 10 hours a day
  • Ability to pass DOT Medical Exam
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
  • Valid Class D Driver’s License required
  • Travel requirement – 20%

 

Physical Requirements:   

 

  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms as well as climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Clearly see 20+ feet with or without use of corrective lenses
