Responsibilities and Expectations: 

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our growing FP&A team.  The Sr. Financial Analyst will work at IPS Headquarters in Greenville, SC and will report directly to the Corporate FP&A Manager.  This position will play a critical role in the company's financial reporting, consolidation, planning, and forecasting processes.  Under general supervision, this analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to deliver meaningful insights that support decision-making for operations, finance, and executive management teams.

  • Work closely with the Corporate Finance team to interpret and analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive business performance
  • Special projects are an integral part of this position
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reporting packages and presentations for senior management, investors and the board of directors
  • Support the annual budgeting process ensuring alignment with business objectives, strategic goals, and financial targets
  • Aggregate forecasts from Regional Finance into a comprehensive company-wide summary to provide a clear and accurate view of the business
  • Provide detailed analysis of actual results versus planned and forecasted budgets
  • Conduct detailed P&L reviews, identifying key drivers of performance and areas for improvement
  • Support opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance the efficiency of planning and forecasting activities
  • Assist with developing and customizing reports in IPS’s consolidation and planning platform
  • Collect and consolidate capital expenditure requests from regional teams and track capital approvals against regional and corporate budgets
  • Routine and ad hoc financial reports as requested by management

Qualifications and Competencies: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or services environment
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and P&L management
  • Experience preparing reports and presenting financial data to senior management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
  • Prior working experience with either financial consolidation & planning software (i.e., Planful / Host Analytics, OneStream, Workday, etc.) or business intelligence software (i.e., Domo, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is preferred
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
